Working in partnership with Herts Catering (HCL), our school will be offering the School Grid lunch ordering system. Menus can be viewed and lunches can be pre-ordered by the parent and child together at home. All lunch options including vegetarian options are displayed.
If you need any further support please see the ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ section of the HCL Special Diets website or alternatively you can email HCL.Nutritionist@hcl.co.uk
All ordering of school lunches is done through our provider, School Grid. From this site, you are required to pick your child’s lunch options in advance.
To access this platform, you must have a School Grid account. To obtain this information please contact the school office.
Please get in touch if you encounter any problems with this system and we will work them through together.
Paying for your school lunch. Payment – Please note, payments can be made directly through School Grid or via direct debit. Also, we are unable to accept cash payments for school lunches.
My payment isn’t showing – Do not panic! There is approximately a 20 minute delay from making a payment to it showing on School Grid.
My child has packed lunch – You do not need to make a selection for that day. We will assume that if there is no selection, your child will be bringing in a packed lunch.
My child is off school – If your child is ill and a school meal has been ordered in advance, please log on and cancel your child’s meal for that day. If you encounter any problems please contact the school office BEFORE 9.30am. Otherwise, you will be charged for that meal.
Can my child change their mind? – Yes. You are able to amend a meal selection up to the evening before.
What if my child has an allergy? – The kitchen will cater for any known allergies through HCL. Should you be unsure which meal selections to select, please contact the school office.
What if I forget to select a lunch choice? – The kitchen will provide a child with a jacket potato or cold option and you will be charged for a school lunch.
We are a healthy school and ask parents to ensure your child(ren) bring in a healthy meal every day.
