Why did you volunteer to be a governor at Morgans?
I was interested in becoming a Parent Governor because I want to make a contribution to the School. I feel I possess certain skills that could add value and which can help the School achieve its very inspirational vision.
What skills do you bring to the role?
As a Partner and Head of Employment at a Hertfordshire based law firm, I have a commercial and advisory mindset. I am driven by helping organisations achieve their strategic objectives and as part of that process, I am not afraid to ask challenging questions. I also advise several educational providers in Hertfordshire which means I have some visibility of the types of issues facing schools.
What is your favourite learning power?
All of the learning powers are invaluable in their own way but my particular favourite is Commitment. It is a trait that will enable the children to achieve and be successful in all aspects of life. Most importantly, it will facilitate personal development and encourage children to fulfil their potential.
