What do you like about being a governor at Morgans?
I have been a governor at Morgans for over 20 years and live very close to the school. It has been fascinating to see the changes and developments over that time. I am passionate about children’s learning and enjoy building close working relationships with teachers and other staff, as well as seeing children grow and thrive in the inclusive ethos at Morgans.
What skills do you bring to the role?
My entire working life has been in education, first as a primary school teacher, then as a teacher educator abroad, and finally as a museum educator and university lecturer. In museums I have taught children from a very wide range of schools in London and beyond, enabling me to experience the breadth of British educational provision both in the past and today.
What is your favourite learning power?
My favourite learning power is collaboration because collaborative learning always exceeds the sum of its individual parts.
