What do you like about being a governor at Morgans?
I am both a member of staff and a governor at at Morgans and I enjoy being part of a community committed to giving children engaging learning experiences and the skills they need to become lifelong learners. Staff and governors are equally committed to developing in their roles to continue to improve the school and make it the best it can be.
What skills do you bring to the role?
I see staff governors as a valuable link between the governing board and the school, as we communicate information and are able to give insight into day-to-day school life. As a school leader and educator, I actively seek out the latest developments in education and take an interest in innovative practices in other schools and education systems worldwide.
What is your favourite learning power?
Without a doubt, my favourite learning power is curiosity. I enjoy reasoning and debate, and love visiting new places and learning from new experiences. Curious people enjoy trying something new, even if it's a challenge. I relish learning new board games, discovering and playing innovative arrangements for brass and cooking recipes from around the world.
